I only interviewed with a talent team associate before declining moving forward with the interview process. I got a vibe that they seemed to forget I was also interviewing them as well. It seemed difficult for her to answer questions about the role—the answers were vague and full of jargon—and it was obvious to me that the longevity of the role was questionable (this turned out to be true as CIC Health experienced layoffs soon after this interview). A few red flags:
1. Wrong title for the position. I applied for program manager, and throughout the interview, the talent associate said "operations manager." I had to follow up after the interview to find out there had been a name change.
2. I would have to interview with someone who I would not be working with on my team for the next step, and no idea of when I'd meet the hiring manager or a member of my team.
3. The two hour assessment test. Need I say more?
4. I was told originally that the people on the team take shifts for WFH: Some would come in one day a week, some come in multiple days, and so on, it depended on the manager. But overall, I had to expect it to be 100% onsite. Sounded like there were no clear expectations—and this was just the interview with HR!
Because of all this, I declined interviewing any further.
