Interview
The interview experience was generally positive, particularly with one of the interviewers who led the department. The conversation was engaging and positive throughout. One of the interviewers primarily asked administrative questions, which was expected. However, I was disappointed with the conduct of another interviewer who did not turn on their camera and was quite rude, often interrupting and reducing answers to simple "yes or no" responses.
The most unprofessional aspect was the follow-up process. At the end of the interview, I was asked when I would be able to join the team. I mentioned one week and was assured that they would know the results by then. Despite this, I waited 2-3 weeks and sent a polite follow-up email to the relevant contact, copying another team member. Unfortunately, I never received a response. This experience left a poor impression of the organization, despite its esteemed reputation.
While I do not question the quality of work or the impact the organization makes, such experiences create a negative and unprofessional image. Since then, I have advised friends and colleagues to refrain from applying to this organization. I hope the organization takes note of this feedback, draws necessary conclusions, and improves their recruitment processes. Sending a follow-up email to shortlisted candidates does not require much time and can significantly enhance the candidate experience. Interestingly, the job advertisement was re-published three times throughout the year, suggesting systemic issues within the recruitment process. Thank you.
