      News Associate Program Interview

      2 Sept 2015
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CNBC (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2015

      Interview

I applied and was accepted to an NBC workshop at a journalism conference. I first interviewed with the Assistant Managing Editor at the CNBC/NBC booth at the Career Fair. It was more of an informational interview A week later I was given a timed, 2-hour writing test. The test was super straight forward and is a combination of different lengths of writing. The following week I spoke with HR and they asked for some references. The whole process took roughly 2-3 weeks.
