Screening phone call with recruiter, a phone interview with the hiring manager, then an on-site panel interview two weeks after the phone interview.
For the on-site, the interview started ~10 minutes late because nobody could find the hiring manager. Two of the other four panel participants couldn't make it (one stopped by to introduce himself briefly before leaving for his meeting), so it was just me, and two people who hadn't even looked at my resume yet. Still, the interview went well. The hiring manager showed up for the last five minutes so we were able to meet in person. They spoke about the growth of the company and what an exciting time it was to join in the role I was interviewing for.
When I followed up with the recruiter the next week, I was informed that the position had been put on hold, and they would follow up with me to see if I was still available when it opened up again. Makes me wonder if the position was put on hold before my interview and they just never bothered canceling it. Certainly would explain the hiring manager disappearing...
