I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cambly in Mar 2021
Interview
Juste ridicule!
"There are two goals we want to achieve with this exercise:
1) give you an idea of day-to-day activities for the given position, and
2) help us understand how you would perform these tasks to evaluate the fit."
Thank you for taking your time and completing the exercise. We evaluated your answers and it was really difficult decision for us but we've made the decision to not move forward at this time. We simply decided to move forward with candidates that we believed are more aligned with Cambly's current goals.

Interview
Overall, the interview process was smooth. It took about two months from the initial touch till the offer. Early on, the lead coordinator made it clear that they are pretty selective for the role. It would take multiple rounds of interviews and might take some time till the process is finished. Since I was super excited about the role, I made myself ready for this.
As expected, there were multiple rounds of interviews apart from an exercise. The interviewers were casual, friendly but also were quite thorough. The interview format and flow were quite different based on the personalities of the interviewers. It looked to me that each of them was testing for certain traits or skills or areas. The hand-off from one step to another during the process was smooth. Some of the interviews were quite intense but friendly.
It is crucial to go to Cambly interview with an understanding of its product and mission. The interviewers will generally tie back many questions and your answers back to Cambly. If you are not ready for this, you will find it hard.
Overall, the interviews were casual and friendly but thorough.

Question 1
Initially, there was an exercise you need to complete offline. It was around growing the business and the tactics you would use.
Generally, other questions would be around:
- Marketing Strategies
- Testing your analytical abilities
- Culture fit questions
A very hands-on and collaborative process. Realy gives you an opportunity to get to know the company culture better and ask questions. It included people from different countries which required a lot of comfort speaking English.
