I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
Submitted a resume online. In a couple of weeks I was emailed with an invitation to apply. The invitation came with an online assessment. The assessment was focused on math in a business setting. The questions were similar to what you would see on the math section of the SAT. A calculator was permitted. After a couple more weeks I got an email inviting me to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was mostly a business case. There was no calculator permitted so be prepared with paper and pencil. The phone interview lasted about an hour and the last few minutes were some simple behavioral questions.
got rejected after the 30 min call. talked about Proficiency with computers and database systems and/or software packages preferred (ex. SQL, Snowflake, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Suite) and assion for problem-solving and leadership development and Proactivity and commitment to delivering results

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time you worked with Data?
100 paintings question
Three rounds: HR, case study, and then interview with team with additional case studies. Case studies included the bridge case, revenue case, car loan case, and the famous painting case.
Using these cases feels like "gotcha" moments when doing the interview. They say they want to see "how you think" but these are all mathematical problems with only one answer.
