I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Carabin & Shaw (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2011
Interview
Interviews are screened out over the phone first, then an in office interview will take place with a lead attorney. Mainly they want to confirm the ability to proficiently use certain programs, NOT just know the program exists. The Firm uses WordPerfect as a core program and you had better be able to at least use the core functions within WorPerfect or you are not getting hired. The lead attorney can seem overbearing or exceptionally friendly depending on what day you happen into the office. Do NOT show up in jeans or sweats, it just is not going to come across as professional in this office. Do not be a smoker if you plan to work in this office, they will not subject themselves or their other employees to the smell of smoke in the office.
