I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Care Focus (Stowmarket, England) in Jan 2024
Interview
The application process was very easy and smooth. I recieved an email leeting me know that my application had been recieved and was being reviewed. After a very short wait, a response was emailed to me from Care focus to invite me to an interview that I could fit around my schedule, and I was able to choose my preference between a virtual interview, or face to face. I chose face to face as I wanted to meet the team in person. Prior to arriving to my interview I was given clear instructions on how to find the main office where I would have my interview. I was warmly greeted by Kerry the admin lady and offered a hot drink and a chance for a quick chat before having my interview with two senior managers. They were both very friendly and welcoming and made me feel at ease, even though I was nervous!
The interview itself asked a range of questions such as my hobbies, interests, some scenarios and even a question on behalf of the children which I thought was a great question!
The interview panel made me feel relaxed and I was really able to feel the Care Focus values in this experience. The interview lasted just over one hour and I was offered the job on the day, however did not feel pressured to give my answer, There was a good balance of questions being asked of me as well as feeling like I learnt so much about the company, the role, and the challenges that I may face. I did accept the job offer on the day and was taken back to the Admin team to complete all necessary paperwork. I really enjoyed my interview, as it felt more like a good conversation rather than being put on the spot and feeling too pressured.
