I applied for a director level position, and had a couple long talks with Amir (their CEO) directly where he seemed interested in me joining the Cash4You team at that level. Then, I was abruptly told I was not a director level candidate in his eyes (Despite being a director at a national company for 5+ years) and he asked me to apply for a lower, manager level position. Despite my hesitations, I did.
I was then brought for a 2 hour “Info Session” that they do for all potential new hires. This was better than I expected. Led by the CFO, it was informative, high energy, and kept me potentially interested.
After this I was asked to come interview with Amir directly. When I showed up for the meeting, no one was at the door, the door was locked, the page-box at the front door did not work, and the employee in the office who saw me waiting did not acknowledge me. After waiting for 10 minutes past my scheduled time, I still had not been let in their office let alone greeted or met by Amir, I departed.
Also, as an FYI to others considering Cash4You. I was told they do not offer benefits to employees. And in the “Info Session,'' the CFO made two points very clear. (1) Amir and Cash4You are among the most successful people / businesses in Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge, and (2) working for Cash4You is NOT a 9 to 5 job, you will be expected to work long hours, evenings and weekends included.
I also did not get an official offer, but the salary numbers Amir had suggested were in range were not highly competitive. So if the high-risk finance market is where you want to be, Cash4You may be a good opportunity for you. However, for everyone else, they seem to brag about being very successful, but then not provide workers benefits, not provide highly competitive salaries, and yet still ask you to go above and beyond both effort and hours wise.
