I applied back in November, and followed up in late January with a recruiter. I sent my website and portfolio and was immediately asked for a phone interview. A few days later I got set up for an in person interview at the Richmond campus. I show up and interview and am told I'd hear back in a week or so. Fast forward to about two and a half weeks later, I'm contacted by the recruiter who says that the "feedback was great", and that I'd be "a great asset to the team". However, they're on a "hiring pause" and wouldn't be able to give me a legit answer until budgets are approved and figured out. About 2 months of back and forth asking about updates, I finally am told the budget is "approved" but would have to wait 1-2 months for leadership to be sorted out. As of last week, the position is "not open" with plans to reopen it being "not guaranteed". If CoStar wants to try and clean up its image and become one of "Richmond's Top Employers", they're going to have to step it up, instead of stringing people along with positions.
