I applied online. I interviewed at CoStar Group in Oct 2023
Interview
I applied to position over a weekend and received an email from a recruiter on the next Monday. I was told that I was to have initial phone call interview first. I was "no showed" by the interviewer the first time. Communication was horrible. Very unprofessional. I got the feeling I was never really in the running by the end of the interview. They told me that they were going to push my resume to the management team and that I would hear about a follow up interview by Friday the same week. Waited all week to tell me they wern't interested. Overall, I was involved in an interview process that lasted weeks only for the result to be one 20 minute phone call, which is clearly not enough to truly get a good feeling about someone's qualifications.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing specific. It was very casual, with not a lot of intentional focus. Told me more about the position.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at CoStar Group (Richmond, VA)
Interview
Lack of communication and unreasonable. Made it to the third interview and they ghosted me until i had to reach out several times for them to tell me i didn’t get the role.
Talked about the role for 30 minutes on a teams meeting, and asked if I had any questions after. First "interview" really isn't an interview at all, it's more informational so I wonder what the criteria is to move forward, probably the questions you ask.
A not too formal, 30-minute Teams call; alternated between asking me questions about myself and how I fit into the role and the industry, and explaining the role to me.
