Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about how you find talent for an open job from beginning to end
phone interview, lengthy in-person interview with various leaders and stakeholders. Process seemed rushed. Interview also included a sourcing exercise which I was skeptical about, and didn’t want to do work for free, and I don’t think the vagueness I purposely left things at was what they were looking for. Everyone was welcoming but at the end of the day, the company doesn’t have the brand recognition they need to be as picky as they are with their candidate requirements. It was a bit of a turn off.

Question 1
A lot of questions about client/customer/stakeholder/hirinf manager relationships
I applied in-person. I interviewed at CoStar Group (Richmond, VA) in Aug 2024
Interview
They wanted unreasonable documentation and verification after jumping through every hoop they asked for tax records, w2 forms, even after calls were made to all prior jobs concerning employment records. Education records going back 20 years and even when authentic documents were given they were still more they wanted. Even down to wording on job titles over 14 years old that changed over the years of employment advanced upgrades. These things to all prior employers and professionals in the job I applied seemed excessive and totally unnecessary. It was approved by their 3rd party background people but rechecked again by someone in HR and was not totally acceptable to them and they keep raising the bar for something new they are asking for it’s seems they want me to decline so they don’t have to rescind the offer even though hiring mangers and team want me on their team. I checked the company and the labor dept has them breaking laws and keeping tabs on them for 5 years for being discriminating against certain groups
