      Backend Developer Interview

      4 Dec 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CodeValue in Oct 2022

      Interview

Long interview process of 5 weeks that went nowhere. It included a 2-hour home test, one technical interview, and one more interview with the CTO. After they sent me their offer and negotiated the salary, there was one more step, an interview with the client, which took them two weeks until it happened. After that, the day that I was supposed to start working, they told that they wish not to continue with me. Their reason was "the requirements of the position have been changed", and "in our opinion, you are not experienced enough". Very unprofessional behavior, this decision should be taken after the technical interview, not after two additional weeks, while keeping the candidate waiting, and especially not after sending their offer! They also try to lowball you and offer less than what the market salary is for your experience.
