The Cognizant interview process usually starts with applying through their career portal or a job platform, after which your resume is screened by recruiters. If shortlisted, you may receive an initial screening call to check your basic skills, interest in the role, and availability. This is followed by one or more interview rounds, mainly a technical interview, where questions are asked on programming languages, OOPs concepts, data structures, SQL, problem-solving, and projects mentioned in your resume. After clearing the technical round, you attend an HR or behavioral interview, where they assess your communication skills, career goals, attitude, and cultural fit, with common questions like “Tell me about yourself” and “Why Cognizant?”. If you perform well in all rounds, Cognizant will release an offer letter, followed by background verification and onboarding.
