Disorganized Process That Reflects Poorly on Culture
The interview process at Cognizant was disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish:
• Recruiter mentioned a “case study” round but provided no details, and ignored follow-up calls for clarification.
• Second-round interview was canceled after I had already joined the call. No prior communication.
• When rescheduled, panelists joined late, didn’t introduce themselves, kept cameras off, and one repeatedly dropped from the call.
This is not about rejection. Rejection is professional. Silence is careless.
An interview is the first reflection of company culture. When candidates experience poor communication and lack of respect at this stage, it raises questions about how the organization values people overall.
