      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Collective Health (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2018

      Interview

Do not apply here if you are qualified. They will find a reason not to offer a job to you. One person in the panel will destroy your hope. What a disappointment!

      Operations Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Collective Health in May 2017

      Interview

Initial phone screen was prompt and friendly - the recruiter was genuine and appeared to be a good advocate for the company and the role. Then quick phone screen with team member, regular questions and relatively casual. After this, an assignment is sent out which the recruiter had let me know about. However it is sent as soon as they make a decision on their end and then requested back 2-3 days - no confirmation of your availability or ability to do the assignment at that time. I understand they want people who are committed and interested, but it's a bit presumptuous to expect, without confirmation, that a candidate has no work or other obligations that may affect timing or quality. Additionally, the assignment was just glorifying their company and seemed to be pretty inapplicable to the day-to-day work and skills. I had a positive experience aside from the assignment portion which is when I was rejected for the position.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Collective Health (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

This was the longest interview process I've ever encountered (and I've worked in recruiting). It involved: a recruiting screen; a manager phone screen; two homework assignments (took up almost 6 hours of my time - and I was certainly doing someone's job by completing the "assignments"); another manager phone call; and 2 onsite interviews. Does this company think they're Google? After all of that time and effort, you would think that on the final round of onsite interviews, the panels members could 1) be bothered to show up on time and 2) take a minute to look at which job I was interviewing for. Unfortunately neither of those things happened for me. That all being said, the recruiting contact was AMAZING. I really appreciate her responsiveness.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

All the interview questions were canned and unoriginal. Two or three people asked me "what has been your biggest challenge?" I was absolutely bored by the end of the interview.
