Platitudes and pablum. Knowing they only had three interviews scheduled for this post, I was not surprised that I wasn’t offered the job. It wasn’t my best interview effort. However, after being forced to return a phone call to find that out, but being told, “If anything comes up in the future, I’ll keep you in mind”, I would have expected maybe not a direct call when the job was reposted a month later...but at least a response to my email or voicemail. At the end of the day, you gotta wonder if you want to work for a company that doesn’t do what they say they’ll do or even adhere to the lowest bar of professional courtesy.

Initially it was a phone interview getting a feel for my basic qualifications. Then another two interviews with various levels of upper management to understand my management style and longer term goals.
