Messy & unorganized. Someone reached out to me about interviewing and said the salary was flexible. Once I went two rounds through they called me to talk salary and said they absolutely couldn’t budge so I had to decide if I wanted to move forward. The offer was below industry standard. I ended up accepting the same role somewhere else within media industry for $20k more - so think about that while you’re interviewing here.
Also once I declined the initial offer that they wanted me to interview for another position within the company that could pay what I wanted. They brought up that possibility to me - I didn’t ask about that - and then when I said I was interested in learning more I never heard back- followed up twice on that w nothing - so basically trash of them to bring that up. Whole process with recruiter was so random, dodgy and kind of unnecessarily lengthy. Just be clear from the get.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you feel about it working with /approaching a pitch for brands that “aren’t the best fit” culturally.
The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Complex (New York, NY)
Interview
1. Meeting with HR. 2. Meeting with HR and hiring manager 3. Meeting with senior executive.
The interviews were very disjointed. The communication was all over the place. Some people were nice and yet some seemed to be horrible.
After extensive time and multiple rounds they just ghosted and didn't provide any feedback whatsoever. Says a lot about who they are and the kind of organization they aspire to be.
I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Complex (New York, NY)
Interview
Met with the manager and discussed why I wanted to work at Complex and other questions. Interview process took about 15 minutes. The hiring manager is nice and straight forward but not intimidating, which made me feel at ease.
