I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Con Edison (New York, NY) in Dec 2015
Interview
Being a current intern, they skipped the initial interview and went straight to the behavioral interview. Upon arriving to the interview you have to write two essays and then walk into the interview room. You will be getting interviewed by two managers from two different departments. They press you and try to see how you act under pressure. It is a very intense interview, and they will ask alot of follow up questions. Think carefully about your responses or they will rip you to shreds.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What do you do if you're walking into work and you see your supervisor drinking?
Lets say you've been working on Con Edison for only 2 weeks and you're supervisor quits, and his boss promotes you to his position, how do you respond? What will you say in your first meeting with the employees now working for you? How do you respond if an employee confronts you and says he doesn't believe you're qualified seeing that you've only been there for 2 weeks?

Interview
I went to the career fair on campus, and have a short talk with the employer. After describing my research experience, I was recommended the Gold Associate program, and was asked to apply online if interested.

Interview
Skipped over the phone interview. They just called me to invite me to come in person. Interview was pretty straight forward, asked questions from a packet they had to fill out. It was two separate interviews asking my questions at the same time. They told me they'd reach out within 2-3 weeks to let me know if I got to the second round or not. It has been over 2 months and haven't heard anything. I even emailed the lady from HR who set up my interview and got no response. If you are going to promise feedback to candidates you should follow through. I am assuming I didn't get it, but very unprofessional.

apparently they have no clue how to see a good candidate. They give preference to an outsider over a coop. They hire ppl that do not deserve and they do not hire ppl that deserve. Really clueless
