Question 1
Not really much. They ask you to tell something about yourself and then the talk progressed naturally.
Good experience, enjoyed meeting everyone. Seemed like a good environment to grow in given the relatively small size. Only complaint was many many layers of interviews - it seemed I had to meet an awful lot of the team to get a decision.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Confirmo (Prague) in Sept 2025
Interview
1st round: Call with a recruiter - introduction of the company, few questions about me
2nd round: Call with Java Engineer - quick screening
3rd round: Onsite interview with CTO and Java Engineer
During the whole interview process I was in a close contact with HR which responded quickly to all questions. Everything went smoothly and fast - from the first contact to job offer it took about 10 days.

Question 1
Interview questions were a little different than I expected. Instead of generic LeetCode and system design questions, there were questions from the broad spectrum of software development and how the topics relate to each other: understanding of Git, how transactions should behave and why, API design and other. So even though I was interviewing for a Java position, I was able to clear the interviews without knowledge of Java, as the interview questions tested general understanding of the field and the thinking process.
