I applied online. I interviewed at Consulate General of Canada
Interview
It's pretty much the same as everyone shared. I applied online, and the process took around 1 month before I received an email informing me that I had been selected for the next stage. Then there was a 40-minute test with 23 multiple-choice questions. The first 9 questions were about Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), which were actually pretty easy. The next 14 questions were a mix of English, math, logical, and situational questions, all of which were easy as well. If you pass the benchmark, you move on to the written test. The written test was only 35 mins and had a total of 3 questions. You had to write the answers in MS Word and then upload them to their site. The second stage was much harder than the first one. 35 mins isn't enough time to formulate a strategy to answer the questions, type them out, and check for grammar and structure. I barely made it in time. Anyway, this is where I failed. If I get the chance to proceed to the next stage, it will likely be the interview.
