I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Continental Battery Systems (Sacramento, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Far too many steps for such a low-end sales job. Face-to-face interviews were unnecessarily drawn out. The manager made a mockery of the interview process, and completely disregarded my time - the interview started an hour late and went over by at least 90 minutes. Unforgivable.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The usual/staple cliched sales interview questions. Generally unthoughtful and demonstrating very little insight. e.g., "what do you value most in people"? This question is as predictable as any you will get in an interview. Here, there are looking for your own core values by demonstrating what it is YOU value in others. Very transparent questioning.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Continental Battery Systems
Interview
Five (yes, 5) interviews for a very sub-standard sales position. The regional manager was very good at filling me with wonderful ideas about making money at the company - that will never happen at Battery Systems. The time off (more than a few days requested) here is laughable, They expect 6 to 8 months notice for a week to two weeks vacation. In my experience, this is totally unheard of. The level of nonprofessional behaviour at this company is pitiful.

Question 1
No difficult question at all. Perhaps the most difficult part of the interview was being kept to wait (on two occasions) upwards of 45 minutes, solely because the district manager couldn't stop talking.
