      I interviewed at Contract Options

      Interview

Some time ago, I was invited for an interview registration process. I completed all the documents and was told the client wanted me to start ASAP. Instead of sending me information on the client, I was continuously kept in the dark. I kept contacting them, wondering if they would respond. Days later, I rang them and was told the job was suddenly gone and that their "client" no longer required anyone! I did not receive justification on this, despite requesting it. I find this highly unlikely they were honest with me, given the "client" ONLY JUST wanted someone ASAP. All of a sudden, they no longer required someone? Rubbish. Either the job never existed or, was already filled before or after the interview. The following facts cumulatively increased my suspicion: 1. They made me sign a contract with a salary LESS than what their job spec advertised. 2. They couldn't answer basic questions about the contract, despite asking several times. 3. During and after the interview, they did not bother sending me EVEN THE NAME of the "client". Instead, they expected me to know it only after their "client" confirmed a start date! 4. They kept ignoring all my messages and did not have the basic civility to tell me the job supposedly vanished until I finally rang them, which contradicts their claim that they were going to update me. 5. During the interview, I was told information on the client was ALREADY sent to me. However, I got nothing! 6. It is unlikely that within a few days, the "client" who was yearning for someone to start ASAP suddenly needed no-one, while the agency was unable to tell me why! Of course, there is another possible, albeit slightly less probable alternative. The job may have been available, but they or their "client" discriminated against me (i.e. due to qualifications, perceived ethnicity, etc.). On the strength of these 6 facts, it is » highly likely they were intentionally dishonest with me; » certain they were negligent by ignoring me, like an item of litter. They would have never updated me on my application without me making the first move. They shamelessly and heartlessly stopped bread reaching my household plus wasted more than half a day (which I can never get back) by traveling and having the interview. I could have spent that time on other matters. I take this all unimaginably seriously. But these people are the least interested; all they are after is money and growth, not helping people into work. What happens to you means nothing to them. Steer miles away from Contract Options.
