      Consultant Interview

      22 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pittsburgh, PA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Corazon (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jan 2018

      Interview

Very long; 4+ hours of different people asking the same questions. One VP stated they like to see employees working in the office 'all the time,' which should have been the first indication that there would be little work-life balance. For weeks, I kept following up with them to see what the next steps were (as they kept saying they would let me know in 1-2 weeks...never happened). 6 weeks after the interview, they were still 'analyzing the role.' This is a small company with less than 40 employees. Absurd amount of time to not know what they want the role to be and without giving any kind of status update. If they truly did not value what I could bring to the group, they could have easily gave me a solid answer 'no.' Because of the unclear direction in the process, in combination with weak feedback for future steps, I shut down the interview 'process,' as I am looking toward other opportunities. I have never seen such a disorganized and drawn-out process for any company I've interviewed for, much less one of this small size.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

General background info from previous projects I've worked on, if I'm ok with extensive travel, salary requirements (they provide much lower than market value for a consultant), etc.
