I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Orange Park, FL) in May 2018
Interview
I applied online on Sunday and was emailed Monday (the next day) asking to call and set up an interview. Called, quickly got patched through to my interviewer (a manager) and was asked out of two days what would be best. I chose to go in that Thursday at 3, arrived about five minutes early. Was seated in the restaurant area after being told by the manager she’d be with me in a few minutes, waited around 5-10 minutes for her to get with me. Interview was around 10 minutes in length, pretty simple and basic questions. She did have something to attend to for just a moment, but remained focused and was very apologetic and polite. She was very nice and elaborated on questions when I asked. She had me fill out a background check, and a day later (today!) I received an email welcome me to the “Cracker Barrel Family,” and about 30 minutes later got a call to set up orientation.
it was horrible ZERO communication whatsoever i went in for the interview and spoke to the manager beforehand and i came in, asked to speak to the manager and she wasnt even there. still got my interview tho and then got told i wasnt going to be sonsidered right then and there. it hurt myfeelings
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Hammond, IN) in Nov 2025
Interview
The date set-up interview process was automatic, yet the in person portion was inside of the restaurant. They set me up at a table and I waited for the manager. The manager asked me questions of my skills, experience, how I would describe myself and my approach to the customer.
The interview process was easy and very non-stressful. They asked general questions about why I wanted to work at Cracker Barrel and about my availability. I was interviewed in the dining area, so plan your interview during a time that's less busy.
