The interview process was an absolute disaster, unlike anything I've experienced in reputable agencies before.
Meeting with the Branch Manager was the final straw that revealed the utter dysfunction within the branch. Instead of a professional interview, it felt like I was an unwilling participant in the Branch Manager's personal TED Talk. I barely had a chance to speak for five minutes before being interrupted and subjected to a lengthy monologue about his own life and interests. Astonishingly, he had already judged my skill set within those brief moments and dismissed me as 'flashy' and 'posh,' aligning me with brands he deemed unsuitable. And to add insult to injury, he had the audacity to question my compensation, labeling me as overpaid without even giving me the opportunity to showcase my work. The office environment in Chennai resembled that of a dingy ration shop, utterly unhygienic and unwelcoming. It's baffling how this branch operates under the prestigious branding of Crayons, known for its top-notch working spaces in Delhi and Kolkata.
The Branch Manager's delusional behavior left me astounded, and I can't fathom how Crayons entrusted him with overseeing an entire brand.
I strongly advise others to steer clear of any offers from this branch. It's incredibly shady. Strangely, after being belittled and dismissed by the Manager, I received a call from the HR team urging me to join as soon as possible. Why would they downgrade my worth only to offer me a position later? It reeks of dishonesty, and it's a clear reflection of the toxic environment at the Chennai Crayons branch.
