      Talent Associate - Generalist Interview

      30 Apr 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Create + Adapt in Apr 2021

      Interview

I applied for the position through Indeed. A week later I was contacted via a phone call to have a ‘brief chat’ about the role. I had this brief chat, and was told that the next day we’d have an official interview over the phone. The next day came, and we had the interview, I was informed I had passed the telephone interview and would be receiving a call from another member of the team for stage two which would be to see if I was a fit for the company’s culture. It has been three weeks and I have heard nothing back - no phone call, no email...just complete crickets. For a company that prides itself on doing recruitment different, being innovative and giving candidates better experiences - this is completely shocking and incredibly ironic. At some point you have to start recognising that candidates are human beings with families that depend on them, bills to pay and a million other financial commitments - and therefore, make the decision that you’ll treat their time and interest in your company with respect because you recognise they’re more than just a CV on a screen. And you recognise this is not just about a job. It’s people’s lives you’re playing with. But unfortunately, it seems Create + Adapt are not at this realisation yet, and haven’t been for some time. The other reviews are a testament to the disposable stance they take on candidates who apply to their positions, and they’re also a testament to how their recruitment is no better than any of their fellow industry competitors. I’m sure their clients don’t get the same treatment because they know that if they try that with them...they won’t get paid. However, I wasn’t brought up to treat people with more/less respect based on their monetary value - so perhaps I wouldn’t have been a good fit for Create + Adapt anyway. I’d worked in recruitment for 5 years and have never made false promises of ghosted candidates - this type of mistreatment is inexcusable. If they’re not willing to change their treatment of candidates this late into the game, then unfortunately their reputation will continue to suffer. And just incase a member of the team is indeed reading this and thinks a reputation doesn’t matter... enough of a bad reputation WILL eventually effect your pockets - so since money is so important to you that you’re willing to put your candidates experiences last, you just might want to act, and fast.

Hi There, Thanks for the time spent leaving us a review on your interview experience, and for detailing so clearly the areas of frustration you felt during the process. These gaps in the process you describe in which you were without communication from us are the last thing we want our candidates to experience, so we apologize for this. You’re absolutely right in that we should hold ourselves accountable and we make no excuses for how this was managed as it is not reflective of our values or culture. Your feedback will help us to do better for future candidates and if you would like to share any further thoughts, please feel free to reach out directly at chris@canda.io and myself or someone else in the team will get back to you asap. All the best, Chris Keane L+D Lead
