After two months from the beginning of the process, I was absolutely shocked by the timing and the poor quality of the review, which clearly demonstrated a serious lack of expertise in digital products and design. Despite claiming strong competence in the field, they had junior staff overloaded with clients, while senior professionals were so overwhelmed they didn’t even show up for the selection process. It turned out to be a ridiculous company with an old-school agency mindset, desperately trying to catch up in the areas of design kits and atomic design—with a 10-year delay, and a very low art direction output. On top of that, they asked for a ready-to-go assessment, highly detailed and based on real clients—I should’ve asked to be paid for that kind of consultancy. Classic company that steals your assessment, sells it to clients, and then decides not to proceed with the hire. Good luck with that.
