I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crossover for Work in Jun 2016
Interview
Process started with a test on hackerrank, it was very easy for those who work with Linux long enough. Then there was an assessment involving Cloudformation, VPC, Docker, ECR, Cloudfront, etc. I had to design, deploy and document a piece of infrastructure, and record a screencast. That was very challenging but I went through it nicely.
The skype interview was where things went bad, the interviewer was speaking from a very bad internet connection, we had to cut the video and audio was very bad. He asked specific questions about AWS services, I would not have any trouble to explain if he had a technical background and some knowledge of AWS but it seemed as though as he was reading questions from a book and expected the answer to match his book verbatim. I've got an email with negative feedback in the same day.
