      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Crossover for Work in Feb 2017

      Interview

The interview process was pretty ridiculous. I received automated emails and only spoke to a human after I'd completed a 2 hour online test and then a 24 hour project. I was then told I needed to schedule an interview. When I attempted to do so, I found out that the only times available were 11:30pm to 2:30am Eastern Time. The person assigned to interview me was in India, so understand there is a time difference, but asking candidates to meet that schedule after they've invested 26 hours of their time without talking to a human is pretty unbelievable. 10 minutes after the time the interview was supposed to start, the interviewer signed on and I could immediately tell they were in front of a green screen. I'm not sure why, but that was pretty off-putting. Before the interview, I was told we would discuss my project and the work I'd done, but after 5 minutes it was clear that the person interviewing me had never even looked at my project, and had no intention of talking about it. I was asked architecture questions for most of the hour. I was left with the feeling that this company treats their interview candidates (and probably employees) like cattle being worked to death before being slaughtered. I suspect I would have quit within a few weeks of working there.

      Interview

It starts with very basic questionary and then you need to implement rather significant project with sophisticated requirements limitations during 72 hours after getting a task. You also need to record a video with instructions about your result.

The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Crossover for Work (New York, NY)

      Interview

Very long interview process. I got exhausted and did not continue with the process. They asked about general English knowledge, some algorithm questions and a general capabilities test. Also a new feature development was a part of the interview but I got frustrated and did not proceed.
