      Full Stack Developer Interview

      4 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Currency in Oct 2019

      Interview

Pretty standard. Phone screen then code pairing over the phone then on site Without going much into details I’d like to remind that if company wants to hire good engineers then people they chose to conduct interview should be trained and prepared. They are the face of the company and unfortunately my experience was that one person acted like I have to prove that I deserve the right to be their pack member with the smell of arrogance and annoyance. I don’t want to be a pack member and want instead to work in a friendly and collaborative environment. I hope this was misunderstanding rather than disrespect but that added enough stress to the point when I felt I don’t want to continue because of a cultural fit mismatch, the fact that my problem solving abilities were impacted by the stress, I couldn’t do better at that point and see no reason to waste my and their time anymore, and left.
