It’s been a slow and lengthy process. I hadn’t heard back for weeks, then was contacted for a second round, only to be asked for 5-6 references, which has taken up a lot of time from both me and others. It just doesn’t make sense to ask for references before the final round. They should really be the last part of the process.
I interviewed in-person at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The interview comprised discussions with the principal investigator and current members of the lab. Questions asked included ones with behavioral and technical underpinnings.
The process was very informal and the interviewers were very friendly. First interviewed with a post-doc and the with PI of lab. They were both engaging and made me feel comfortable.
