The talent acquisition representative reached out to me at ~6:30pm to set up an introductory call, which I find to be an odd time to call a prospective candidate without first prompting the call with an email. Regardless, we set up a time to speak the following afternoon. They did not send out any sort of confirmation email for this meeting, which I thought strange and unprofessional. I had the 30 minute introductory call with this member of their talent acquisition team, which consisted of answering some basic background questions about my work experience and listening their brief company overview.
For next steps, the talent rep said they wanted to set up a time for me to speak with the hiring manager for this role. I was told to look for an email from them either that afternoon or early on the next day to confirm the details of my next interview. After 6 days of waiting, I missed a call from the talent rep who left a voicemail asking me to call back to schedule this next meeting. In the voicemail they did not acknowledge anything about the tardiness of their communication nor the lack of email correspondence that was previously discussed.
At this point, I had a sour opinion of the company after they consistently displayed poor communication skills and failed to follow thru on their commitment to follow up with me.
Therefore, I declined to proceed with scheduling the next interview in the hiring process.
