I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Sept 2021
Interview
1. Recruiter call.
2. Team lead or manager call
3. take home project
4. presentation based on the take home project and then you interview with about 6 people.
I haven't head back but I really enjoyed working with my recruiter Avery and also the first team lead I spoke to- Roman. They were both very kind and transparent.
The questions weren't hard but definitely time consuming and intense. The interview process requires you to spend a lot of investment. Whether they tell you to spend only 2 hours or not. If you want to present something you're happy with then it will definitely take more than 2 hours.

I applied online. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Aug 2022
Interview
This was my first time dealing with something like this.
I did very well in all of the interviews and despite some of the signs, I thought it would be a good fit.
1. recruiter call
2.manager call
3. presentation
After that everything went left. I reached out to an internal employee to get a sense of the culture and from there the internal employee went ahead and applied for the position. After that, they were just stringing me along until they could finish up the interview with the internal employee.
I had seen comments on glassdoor about people being very backstabbing and it is my fault to have trusted people within this process. Lesson learned and maybe I dodged a bullet. To be clear, I don't think this is an issue of the recruiters at all.
