      Shipping Packing Specialist Interview

      12 May 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Defibtech

      Interview

Applied through indeed and send resume to company job email. I got a email about a week or 2 later from HR for a phone interview. Was asked about my previous shipping experience and what I had experience in. Lady said that I would be shipping AEDs with lithium batteries so they needed to be labeled and processed correctly. From my previous temp job, I gained knowledge about shipping hazardous material and chemicals and where to put them and rules regarding certain items. I told her that and she wanted me to tour the warehouse which I accepted. Good experience. The warehouse supervisor is very friendly and the guy who gave me tour was awesome. That lasted about 30 minutes or so. I was told I would hear from HR within a week or so. They did call my references and gave me a job offer which I accepted. They wanted to know education history and if I had a criminal record which I didn’t. First day I was at corporate office to hand over documents (birth certificate, bank account info, and sign papers). After that, I was introduced to more HR people including the president of the company. Everyone was very friendly and were happy I joined. Once I was introduced to people, went to the warehouse and really just shadowed the guys that were shipping and learning how things operate. Overall, great experience and really best job I’ve ever had.
