      First round was a quick phone interview, second round I met with the BDR managers and had a very laid back conversation about my background, and the final round was a group interview which involved a role play with the other candidates

      Applied online they responded with a request to take assessment exams. Did that. Next step was providing 5, yes 5 references before they even mention setting up an interview. I saw this as a red flag but did it anyway. Regretted it later as they sent them surveys. After that they decide if they want to interview you. Had initial interview with recruiter who then informed me of the salary which was low and the fact that you have to use your own laptop (work from home job) for 90 days before they view you as worthy of keeping. Then they will send you one of their systems and provide you with benefits. This was another red flag that screamed high turnover boiler room burnout role. After that I was setup to interview with the manager. Role play scenario. Thought I did well but can't say for sure as I received no feedback , just the usual rejection email. No offer made.

Because our BDR role is performance-driven and client-facing, we do require an assessment and professional references prior to moving forward with interviews. This helps ensure we are being thoughtful and respectful of both the candidate’s time and our team’s time before advancing in the process. Reference checks at this stage are part of how we evaluate alignment, coachability, and prior performance. During the interview process, we aim to be fully transparent about compensation, expectations, and role structure. The BDR position includes an hourly rate plus commission, and we discuss compensation early so candidates can determine whether it aligns with their goals. We also outline our remote work setup, including the use of a personal computer during the first 90 days, as part of our onboarding process before company equipment is issued. We understand that not every opportunity is the right fit for every candidate. Our goal is to provide clarity upfront so individuals can make informed decisions. While we’re sorry this role wasn’t the right match, we appreciate the time invested and wish you the best in your search.
