The initial communication with the Production Manager went well. I liked this person and had the impression he would be a great boss. He seemed to love my portfolio and stated that he'd received so many forwarding emails of my resume and portfolio that he felt compelled to set an interview. It was the Production Manager's Assistant that was the thorn. He made snide comments such as, "10 years in the field isn't that long". He also sabotaged me on the skills test by giving conflicting instructions (I should have questioned but chose to attempt compliance). And during the graphic skills test he made a show of sighing heavily several times as I conversed with another of the graphic designers. His entire manner was one that spoke of "Diva" and an out-of-control ego. I was not terribly disappointed at not receiving an offer as I believe this man would be a nightmare to work with.
