      Staff Accountant Interview

      27 Apr 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Hunt Valley, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Diamond Comic (Hunt Valley, MD) in Apr 2022

      Interview

HR called with a preliminary interview. A second phone interview with the accounting department to gauge my accounting qualification. My third interview was in person and with the president of the division I was supposed to do the accounting for. The individual disclosed early in the interview they yell at their employees when mistakes are made. I was surprised that a company that boasted of respect on their "about us" page would employ someone for many many years that would yell at subordinates routinely. Respect isn't given its earned and I could never respect someone who has to yell to get things done.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Ironically, the conversation was great aside from him admitting he yelled at employees, none of the tacky/ cookie cutter interview questions.
