I applied online. I interviewed at Diamond Public Relations (Miami, FL) in Dec 2021
Interview
It was a Zoom interview. I immediately knew this was not the place for me because the woman who interviewed me did not seem genuine or excited to get to know me at all. She made no small talk and didn’t have great conversation skills. She just seemed bored the whole time. I never heard back from them which is fine because I did not want to work there, but I do find it odd that they didn’t even say sorry were going with someone else.

Interview
I was scared going into this interview after reading so many negative Glassdoor reviews and I was right to be scared. I like to give everybody the benefit of the doubt and I did that with Diamond PR, but the cattiness and pettiness that people talk about on here reared its ugly head during my first interview and only interview, as I decided not to proceed with the writing test or a secondary interview.
When the conversation came to salary expectations and I voiced my expected compensation very politely (might I add), they counter-offered with $30,000 and said things like "Your experience is just so junior for the role," after having gushed about my experience and then they said "To be honest with you, what you're asking for is a little high. This is the best you're going to get."
That was a flat out lie and it was truly the straw that broke the camel's back for me, because it's one thing to tell me that you're a boutique agency and cannot afford to pay me more but it's another to just lie to my face.
I am by no means a sensitive person; I'm probably the least sensitive there is. However, I have a low tolerance for dishonesty and for minimizing people's experiences. Currently, I'm in a well-paid entry-level position with great benefits. To those who may read this, my advice is: do not settle for less!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I cannot remember any questions because I literally completed so many job interviews between now and then.
