After applying online, a recruiter called me. She asked the basic questions regarding qualifications. An hour later, the hiring manager called to schedule an interview. The interview was very low-stress and easy to navigate through. It consisted of an introduction of the company, a brief history of its start and accomplishments, and its vision for the future. We then moved on to discussing the benefits offered by the company, as well as vacation time and holiday pay and closures. Afterwards, we discussed the position I was interviewing for, the roles that come with it, and the duties, tasks, and responsibilities of that position. I was given a brief introduction of the department I would be working in along with a summary of what a day in that role may look like. I was given a tour of most of the dealership and a quick summary of the areas we toured. Afterwards, we discussed salary expectations and concluded the interview. The next day, I received a call from the hiring manager informing me I would be receiving an offer letter. A few hours later, I received another call but this time it was from the senior manager. He was very easy to talk to and really just seemed to want to know more about me as a person. It was a very pleasant call. Soon afterwards, I received their offer letter in my email. After accepting the offer, HR contacted me to let me know they were beginning the background check and drug screen process. This was one of the most detailed, yet stress-free interviews I’ve ever had. I did not feel like I was being interrogated or that I had to sell myself to the company. My resume spoke for itself. The interview felt more like the company was trying to sell themselves to me. The vibe was pleasant, informative, laidback, and easygoing.
