      Site Leader Interview

      6 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash in Apr 2022

      Interview

A recruiter will have an "interview" with you, asking basic questions via phone, to ensure you qualify. Once selected to proceed, you will have to complete an assessment using excel and answer questions based on the spreadsheet. Once the assessment is passed you then move on to your official interviews, via Zoom, consisting of 3 separate managers. Not sure if this is standard, but after my interviews, I was asked if I would like to partake in a site tour with another manager in the region (thinking maybe this was the company's way of getting a feel of the candidates since the interviews were virtual). Throughout my interview process, it was not professional which led me to believe I was a shoo-in. The first interview was very informal. They were using unprofessional language as if we were buddies and stated they really want me a part of the team, but it will come down to my next two interviews. The next interview was odd. They had a baggy shirt on with holes in it. I get it you're in the comfort of your own home, but at the very least make sure you're presentable. Despite the appearance, they were very engaged. The last interview was the worst experience out of them all. Firstly, they had informed me they had been with the company for less than 2 months, red flag! This interviewer was not engaged in my interview, told me they didn't have my resumé pulled up, and felt no need to do so. They never asked follow-up questions, which I can understand if the answers answer everything, but let's be honest I have conducted interviews before and you're supposed to probe the question will follow-ups. Throughout the entire interview, they picked up their phone to answer texts, looked out the window several times, leaned back in the chair and even spun around. At the end of the interview, they expressed how shocked they were about how quickly the interview ended. After the interview and site tour, I waited 2 weeks for a response. Follow-ups were met with something along the lines of someone is out of the office or we will get back to you later this week. All in all, I really thought I was going to get it simply because of the statements I was told and the overall manner of all interviewers. I also thought I was on a hidden prank show with how bizarre some of the things that were said and done.
