There was an initial phone screening/interview. They asked basic qualifying questions. But I grew skeptical when the receptionist said "dress business casual for your interview". Who wouldn't already know that? They must either have anyone in for consideration, in wich there would be high turnover, or this job marketed to young adults whom will be naive and not generally ready for the workplace. My thoughts were confirmed as I was invited to an interview, where I saw only young adults. The interviewer spoke with me briefly and I was given general details about the position. I had a follow up meeting with a "sales manager in training". Here is where I found out, soley by my questions, that this job is 100% commission!. Walking door to door soliciting Verizon cable to people's homes. Count me out! No health bonuses, the hours are 10-8pm M-F and 9am-5am Saturdays. Your gonna be dropped off in a "territory" and go door to door for 8 hours until picked up, by the team leader. No wonder there are only young naive adults there. And the turnover has to be abnormally high as they told me they give interviews all day everyday! This is ok for a person that can handle living on the edge where money isnt at all automatic. But I have bills and a family to support, I dont have such a luxury.
