I applied online. I interviewed at EFG Bank (Zürich) in Jan 2024
Interview
First Interview with HR, it was a good experience, average question nothing to difficult and the girls of HR were very kind and available. At the beginning they asked me to present myself and then a couple of questions about the Bank and about my studies and working experiences.

Question 1
If you could change something about yourself what would it be?
I applied online. I interviewed at EFG Bank (Geneva) in May 2026
Interview
I applied for the Cloud and Cybersecurity programme, the process is still ongoing. The first round was very standard, I talked to a woman from HR, and I had questions similar to the other candidates. What would you change about yourself with a magic wand, what irritates you the most, what is something you are most proud of. What I didn’t really like is that the interviewer also asked me about my projects and one previous internship, but whenever I would start explaining it, I would get interrupted by her telling me she isn’t a technical employee and I should keep the details for later rounds. I found this super offputting, especially that usually in the first round you have to show that you’re technically adept in order to stand out and get to the next round. The second round interview was with someone who was very high up, and he was once a programmer, but hadn’t done any technical work in decades, so my “interview” with him was basically a conversation about hobbies. Anyways, I also passed that interview and I am now preparing for my third one.

Question 1
What irritates you, what would you change about yourself with a magic wand, tell me the experience you’re proudest of. Why did you choose EFG, and what do you know about EFG?
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at EFG Bank
Interview
The interview felt very impersonal and outdated. During our 30-minute call, they asked me basic questions, and I provided answers, but there was no real interaction or feedback. They moved from one question to the next without any engagement. Near the end, they mentioned I could ask questions, but there was little time left for that. It felt like they were not really interested in my knowledge or experience, or that they wanted to learn about me. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
They asked exactly the same questions you see here on the website.
