I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EX.CO in Dec 2025
Interview
I was contacted via LinkedIn on December 3 by Adam Rollings, a recruiter at Ex.Co. We had a preliminary meeting on December 4, during which he stated he would share his notes with the team and asked me to send over my resume. Which I did.
After that, there was no communication until December 11, when I followed up myself. At that point, Adam finally responded and said there had been a “slight delay due to the volume of hiring” and that he would follow up the following Monday.
At this point, I chose to disengage and block future communication. I do not appreciate my time being wasted. Transparency is simple and it matters, recruiters should be clear about whether a candidate is actively being moved forward versus being kept warm “just in case.” Using candidates as placeholders is extremely unprofessional.
Good luck future candidates!
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at EX.CO in Sept 2025
Interview
The interview process was straightforward and included the following stages:
HR screening over the phone, interview with hiring manager, timed assignment (48 hours), presentation of the assignment, in-person interview with founder and HR, ending in reference check.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my experience and how I would handle certain situations. Particular emphasis on when I messed up and how I dealt with the situation.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EX.CO (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Apr 2021
Interview
Very standard and overall, pleasant. A few steps, with a general interview at first, going to a technical one with a manager from the team.
No surprises, standard questions.
On the technical side, I had to give a lot of examples of tests I'd do for a feature. I was expected to be very thorough and approach it from all angles.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
They gave me a scenario with an easy-to-understand feature and asked how I would approach it from a QA perspective, what tests I'd perform, what kinds of tests etc.
I was given an example of a bug and asked how I would investigate it. What details would I seek to add to the ticket?
Also, what else should I test, so that I'd know I've covered the bug fully?
