5. Cultural Interview
I recently interviewed with Econify and had a similar experience as another candidate mentioned on Glassdoor. The interview process was standard, including a take-home project and a presentation with documentation. During my cultural interview, I was told to expect a written offer.
However, after sending a follow-up thank you email and receiving no response, I reached out again a week later to inquire about an update. That's when I was informed that the offer was given to someone else because my salary expectation was too high, despite indicating my willingness to negotiate. I would advise caution when discussing compensation expectations if you get to this part of the interview process. This lack of communication and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, especially after dedicating so much time and effort into the interview process.
It's important for companies to treat candidates with compassion and respect, and Econify's behavior in this matter is unacceptable as this is not the first time they have done this. I hope they improve their communication with future candidates, as interviewing takes valuable time and energy and it's only fair to be treated like a human being.
