I arrived and spoke with two people, whom were either HR or management.. I got what can only be considered 'bad vibes' from them-later on they were right. While answering their questions, I asked some of my own. One was a 'what if' about laws could change of how collections are done, and have you been following it; if so, what plans have you been making if they pass it. He laughed instead of answering. Soon after, the woman sat up in her chair, and in a loud voice 'what will your former boss say about you?'. I said, in a loud voice, that I did my job well. I wondered if they treated all potential customers like they treat their potential employees, with much disrespect. I was led afterwards to a computer for the test, as well as another woman, who kept moving her mouse off the desk in an attempt to move the cursor somewhere. In the back of the office, I can hear the woman (or what sounded like her) laughing hard every time, it seems, the other interviewee does something wrong, or both of us. I finally had enough of her laughter, turned off my computer, went into the other to the woman who was about close to crying, and told her to stop as this place isn't worth the effort. She said she needed the job, and I told her that she needed a job, but not this place. She stopped, but eventually got up and left the same time as I did. I usually send something for the interview, but the company isn't worth the effort.

First it was a person-to-person interview; followed by a 90 minute test (online). During the time I spoke with the manager and the other individual stand off to her right, I got the sense I was the joke. When I asked about possible regulation that might be passed concerning an APR limit, they both laughed. When I asked what was funny, she said 'you'. I told them 'you're laughing at me for asking a question that pertains to this industry standards', she told me that I'm not of the industry. I told her I've been in the industry longer than the creation of online loans, so I very have an understanding of consumer loans. Soon after they led me to an office for my test, I sat down to take it but also noticed an older woman having consider trouble with the computer. As I was taking the test, I too had trouble, and it was then I noticed that each time I or the woman had trouble, I heard the same laugh that I did in the in-person interview. I looked around then up, and I think there was a camera up in the ceiling. I realize I don't deserve to be seen as a joke than a person, so I stopped taking the test, got my messenger bag, and proceeded to leave. I did go into the space where the other woman held the mouse off the desk, but level to the desktop, and told her to just stop and get up and leave. She said she needed a job, but I told her you deserve better than they treated me and you. She did hesitate but came to her senses, looked at me and smiled, then we both left. I never said good-bye or anything - just left and felt I dodged a bullet.
