I spoke to the supervisor of the district at length while also submitting my resume. The interviewer asked about my work background, experience etc. They were interested to hear what specifically I had done as work and what my current availability was like. They also were interested in finding out which locations throughout the GTA would be the best for me in terms of accessibility. Upon doing so they requested a background check as well as any other certifications I had upon that time.

Very basic and easy. They were interested to know if I could communicate properly. Good communication skills and grooming are equally important to get onboard. Once onboard, you'll have to keep applying for gigs for them to allocate one for you.
