The receptionist was very rude when I asked her what I needed for an application (paper vs. Online). I was anticipating passing my state exam to become licensed the very next week. The director called me and asked me to just tell the receptionist to call her when I get there. The receptionist was not going to give me an application unless I was already licensed. The place really stunk as i given a tour. I've been to a few S killed nursing facilities and they did not stink like that. Then they told me that I would be expected to escort any resident out to the smoking area despite my allergy to smoke that causes me to have asthma attacks to which I told them that I cannot be near any smoke period.. they ignored my comment and processed with the tour for which the other CNA'S didn't even say hi or respond to me saying hi to them. I did not accept their offer of employment..I told them I accepted an offer elsewhere because I was not going to work in that environment. I have not stepped foot in that place since then. I definitely would NOT put anybody I cared for in that place either. I don't know for sure but i think its the only MEDICAID SNF in this area.. I know they mentioned that they were constantly understaffed but I'd rather be unemployed than to work in a place where I don't even get a response from prospective coworkers. How would I count on them to help me if need be
