The interview process was quite lengthy, and unfortunately, there seemed to be challenges with time management. Many of the questions were theoretical and didn’t align closely with practical DevOps scenarios. One interviewer demonstrated a lack of basic professionalism, which affected the candidate experience. This interviewer seemed unfamiliar with fundamental DevOps concepts, including the differences between IaaS and PaaS, and lacked knowledge about widely-used tools like Ansible and Terraform, which raised concerns about the overall assessment quality. The other interviewer, however, was more experienced, focusing on relevant topics like Kubernetes and Docker. Reflecting on the process, I wonder if this experience might be indicative of the company's work culture. After researching on LinkedIn, I noticed that both interviewers did not hold any relevant DevOps certifications, which may explain the nature of the questions.
