Explain a project you worked on at your previous company.
Completed a 6-round interview + 3 recruiter call process spanning 2 months, including: CEO interview, ML Lead interview, coding exercise, technical ML discussion, culture fit, and leadership interview. Process included multiple scheduling delays from their side. Technical team seemed strong, particularly in early rounds.
Received rejection after significant time investment. Feedback was unexpected and inconsistent with interview discussions - concerns about autonomy were raised despite demonstrated experience and despite having gone the extra mile in the technical by providing materials that were not asked for. Location and motivation were also cited as concerns, though these weren't meaningfully discussed during the process. Interestingly, all concerns emerged only after the final round, suggesting potential misalignment in the company's growth direction.
